Everyone is different. From the color of your skin, the texture of your hair, the color of your eyes or the shape of your fingernails, all of these attributes are unique to you. The labia are no different. In fact, it is quite common for the vulva to be different shapes and sizes, even from one side to the other. This common-imbalance is known as labial hypertrophy.<\/p>\n

Labial hypertrophy is present when a woman\u2019s labial folds are different sizes. This can be the outside of the labia, or the labia majora, or the smaller inside folds, called the labia minora. Sometimes the folds are different colors, or they can be different lengths, thicknesses or sizes.<\/p>\n

While labial hypertrophy doesn\u2019t indicate that there is anything medically wrong, it can be easily corrected through a procedure known as labiaplasty<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Who is Affected by Labial Hypertrophy?<\/h2>\n

Labial hypertrophy can affect any woman, regardless of age, size, race, or background. There are several causes of labial hypertrophy, but most of the time, it’s just something women are born with.<\/p>\n
