About Dr. David Ghozland: Cosmetic Gynecologist in Orange County, CA

David Ghozland, M.D., is a devoted gynecologist and global leader in cosmetic gynecology with more than 20 years in practice in Orange County and Los Angeles. Since starting the Intimate Health Center in 2005, he has performed more than 7,000 procedures for patients from all over the world who travel just to receive his care.

Passionate about caring for women through some of the most personal and transformative times in their lives, Dr. Ghozland centers his practice on developing personalized treatment approaches that ensure patients feel understood and confident while achieving long-lasting results. Most importantly, he’s committed to making every patient feel comfortable, heard, respected, and free from judgment. 

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and twin daughters in sunny Newport Beach. He’s an active member of the community and a huge animal lover, acknowledging his family isn’t complete with their dogs and horses. He cherishes coastal life and being near the water every chance he gets.

A Pioneer in Women’s Intimate Health

In an effort to provide the best care for his patients when standard treatments weren’t sufficient, Dr. Ghozland pioneered several of his own procedures and protocols.

• He developed the Intimate Renewal Procedure™, a multi-modal approach to painful intimacy that combines a small surgical procedure with nonsurgical methods to loosen the vagina, reducing pain and friction during intercourse. Community Advocacy

Dr. Ghozland’s commitment to advancing women’s health spans far beyond our clinic walls. He’s a past recipient of a Congressional Certificate of Recognition for community advocacy, with notable projects including the following:

• Walk With a Doc: Organized a program that brought physicians and patients together outside the medical office to walk, talk, and build stronger relationships, launching a major community success
• Pro bono work: Provided pro bono reconstructive care for women affected by female genital mutilation 
• International teaching: Traveled to Malawi to teach surgeons techniques for repairing the physical damage caused by genital mutilation
• District president: Served as past president of the Los Angeles County Medical Association for his district

Early Career Path

Dr. Ghozland’s connection to women’s health started before he entered medical school. His father was an OB-GYN doctor, making conversations about pregnancy, surgery, and patient care part of ordinary life growing up. 

After earning his medical degree, he completed an OB-GYN residency before returning to Southern California to practice at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, UCLA, and St. Johns Medical Center. During this period, a chairman at UCLA asked him to write an article on vaginal rejuvenation and cosmetic gynecology, an emerging field at that time. Writing that article changed the direction of his career. 

He pursued advanced training in the field while continuing to practice as a general gynecologist for 15 years. This helped him build a strong surgical foundation before opening the Intimate Health Center in 2005.
